Report lauds MFS Web site

An independent agency review named www.mfs.com one of the top Web sites in the mutual fund industry. The report lauded MFS for its “innovate, well-organized site” and “inventive, attention-grabbing features.”

MFS received rave reviews last month in an independent agency’s report on mutual fund industry Web sites.

Corporate Insight, Inc., which publishes the Mutual Fund Monitor Report, reviewed the Web site homepages of 20 proprietary and nonproprietary mutual fund firms. It gave the homepage of the recently redesigned MFS Web site (www.mfs.com) a grade of A-, the highest grade given to a nonproprietary firm. Only three of the 20 companies profiled in the report received higher grades.

“The MFS U.S. investor homepage is an innovative, well-organized site overview that offers a high degree of customization to its users,” the report stated. It went on to say that the site’s fund and annuity trackers “are inventive, attention-grabbing applications that establish a new standard for homepage customization.”
“An A- is great because I think it shows we were on the mark with a lot of the things we were trying to accomplish when we launched the redesigned site in January,” said Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications Jerry Potts. “But the goal is to get an A+, and we’re planning to introduce a number of changes that will make the site even stronger.”

Among the enhancements that will soon be added to the site, Potts said, are a streamlined registration process and more and better daily content.

“Our Electronic Marketing and Communications staff, in conjunction with TS&S and many other groups around MFS, put a lot of time, energy, and effort into redesigning the site,” said Potts. “It’s rewarding to see an outside group take notice of the fruits of that labor.”
